Creating a new style in the external CSS file in a simple task.

First open the file index.html from template/html/html_version.

Now go to the CSS Styles palette and right-click anywhere in the All Rules area and from the menu choose New...

A window appears asking you to define what type of Selector you'll have for the new style. Choose the "Class" Selector Type. As you can see every selector has its properties. The Class selector can apply to any tag so we choose this one. Write a name for this new style and very important choose "Define in: styles.css" to create the new style inside your external css file. Click OK

A new rule/style appears in the All Rules area of the CSS Styles palette. Note that the new style is ordered alphabetically so the "text10" style will be placed after "text9" style and the Rule definition window pops up. Now go on and set the desired style elements and close the window. Your new style is available and you can apply it to any tag.
